The road was smooth as our trip to Kaituna Camp began. We start talking on and on about what it would look like. It seemed a very short time, when we reached Haysel Quarry. (nope, wrong one) I ment Halswell Quarry. Anyway, after the long walk across the whole quarry, we got back into our cars and drove away to our next destination.
Screech!!! The sound of scrapping tyres made us jump rightout of our seats. We looked at our surroundings. Grassy plains, sheep, tents, and poo... everywhere. We hopped enthusiastically off the car, and straight into poo/mud.Ewwww!!!!
It's time to pick our tents with our tent buddy.Everyone ran to look for their tent and we got left behind in their tracks; but that was fine with us because we got the only square tent. It was also the only tent that you could fully stand up in.
We did water watch on the first day and that was cool, because we got samples from the creek and tested the temperature. We also learnt things about oxegyn levels and other stuff about water and insects. The men who took it were very smart.
The dinners were good.On the first night we had eel head soup and for dessert we had sheep poo crumble,(na just jokes)we actually had burgers which were yummy. The second night we had sausages which were yummy as well.
